Diesel Technology

Applications for fall 2024 are now open!

Northwest Mississippi Community College is proud to offer a new Diesel Technology program at our Batesville campus. The program is designed to prepare students to maintain and repair a variety of industrial diesel equipment, including agricultural tractors, commercial trucks, and construction equipment. The program includes instruction in inspection, repair, and maintenance of engines, power trains, hydraulic systems, and other components.

  • Offered at the Panola Concourse- Batesville campus only

  • Fall enrollment only

How do I get into the Diesel Technology program?

  • Complete an Application for Admissions to the college.

  • Complete an Application to the Diesel Technology program.

  • Have a high school diploma or GED/HISET equivalency on file with the admissions office

  • Must have a minimum ACT composite score of 15 or be eligible to enroll in Intermediate Algebra and English Comp 1. (An exception will be granted with letters of recommendation or acceptable scores in a high school related field program.)

  • Have official ACT scores on file with the admissions office

  • Pay any outstanding balances to Northwest MS Community College or any other college

  • Submit a current negative 5-panel drug screen after July 15th.

  • Provide your own tools. See tool list below.
