Commercial Truck Driving
The Commercial Truck Driving program prepares students for occupations in the trucking industry. The Commercial Truck Driving curriculum consists of four general categories: classroom, field work, road driving, and city driving. The instructor uses both the lecture and demonstration method of teaching with active participation and practice by the students.
- Program is offered at the Olive Branch & Batesville campuses ONLY
- 16 week (1 semester) program which meets 5 days per week

- Fall Admission Applications open on March 1
- Spring Admission Applications open on September 15
How do I get into the Commercial Truck Driving program?
- Complete an Application for Admissions to the college.
- Complete an Application to the Commercial Truck Driving Program
- Must be 18 years or older – if under 21 years old, completers will not be able to drive a commercial motor vehicle across MS state lines, carry hazardous materials, or transport any passengers until they are 21 years of age older. Employment is not guaranteed due to insurance policies with some employers.
- Submit Memorandum of Understanding (Click here for form)
- Submit a copy of valid Driver’s License
- Submit a copy of MVR. (MS Residents) (TN Residents)
- Submit a DOT Physical – Can be completed at any physician’s office
- Submit a DOT Drug Screen from an approved FMCSA provider (Due no earlier than 30 days prior to the first day of class – special instructions will be included in acceptance letter) (Click here for policy and liability form)
