Welding and Cutting
Applications for fall 2025 are now open!
Northwest Mississippi Community College offers a two semester career certificate in Welding and Cutting Technology at our Senatobia and Batesville campus. The curriculum includes Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), GAS Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC), Carbon Arc Cutting, Oxyfuel Cutting, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).

Location: Senatobia campus and Panola Concourse Batesville campus
Senatobia Day program: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-11:15am; 11:45am-2:45pm and Friday 8:00am-8:50am
Senatobia Night program: Monday-Thursday 3:45pm-6:15pm; 6:30-10:00 pm and Friday 3:45pm-6:15pm
Batesville Day program: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-11:15am 11:45am-2:45pm and Friday 8:00am-8:50am -

How do I get into the Welding and Cutting Technology program?

Complete an Application for Admissions to the college.

Complete an Application to the Welding and Cutting program.

Admissions to the program is by way of an admissions interview with a Welding and Cutting instructor.

Have a high school transcript or GED/HISET transcript on file with the admissions office.

Confirm with the admissions office that transcripts have been received in the admissions office

Pay any outstanding balances to Northwest MS Community College or any other college

Submit a current negative 5-panel drug screen after July 15th.
