Welding and Cutting

Applications for fall 2024 are now open!

Northwest Mississippi Community College offers a two semester career certificate in Welding and Cutting  Technology at our Senatobia campus. The curriculum includes Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), GAS Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC), Carbon Arc Cutting, Oxyfuel Cutting, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). 

  • Location: Senatobia campus only -Day program and Night program

  • Fall enrollment only

How do I get into the Welding and Cutting Technology program?

  • Complete an Application for Admissions to the college.

  • Complete an Application to the Welding and Cutting program.

  • Admissions to the program is by way of an admissions interview with a Welding and Cutting instructor.

  • Have a high school transcript or GED/HISET transcript on file with the admissions office. 

  • Confirm with the admissions office that transcripts have been received in the admissions office

  • Pay any outstanding balances to Northwest MS Community College or any other college

  • Submit a current negative 5-panel drug screen after July 15th.  

Note- Admissions to the college does not guarantee admissions to the program of study.
