The HVAC Technology program prepares individuals to work in engineering departments or private firms installing, maintaining, and operating small or medium air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.

How do I get into the HVAC Technology program?

Complete an Application for Admissions to the college.

Complete an Application to the HVAC Technology program.

Have a high school diploma or GED/HISET equivalency on file with the admissions office

Must have an ACT composite score of 15 or higher or be eligible to take Intermediate English and Intermediate Algebra.

Have official ACT scores on file with the admissions office

Confirm with the admissions office that high school transcript or GED/HISET transcript and all previous college course transcripts have been received in the admissions office.

Pay any outstanding balances to Northwest MS Community College or any other college.

Submit a current negative 5-panel drug screen after July 15th. (Drug Screen Policy & Test Result Form)

Upon conditional acceptance to the program, applicants will take a mechanical aptitude test.

Selection into the program is by an admissions committee.
Admissions to the college does not guarantee admissions to the program of study.
