Physical Therapy
Northwest Mississippi Community College offers pathways to a rewarding career in physical therapy, whether you're aiming to become a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or preparing for a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
Our programs provide the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills necessary for success in this healthcare field.
- Diverse Pathways: We offer coursework that can lead to either an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or serve as the foundational science coursework for transfer to a four-year university for a pre-physical therapy track (Associate of Arts - A.A.).
- Career Entry (for A.A.S. track): The PTA program prepares you to sit for the national licensure exam and enter the workforce directly as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Please review the Physical Therapist Assistant page for more information on requirements for the program.
