Mathematics Department

The Division of Mathematics offers several pathways that provide a solid educational foundation for students planning to transfer to a senior institution in Mathematics or Engineering related fields. Advisers utilize the ACT math sub-score for mathematics placement. Deficiencies in mathematics requirements may be made up during the freshman year or in the summer prior to the freshman year. Students are encouraged to get involved in campus activities through division clubs and organizations including Mu Alpha Theta, a mathematics honor society for high schools and two-year colleges.
