Mathematics Department

The Department of Mathematics Instruction offers multiple academic pathways that establish a strong foundation for university transfer, including Mathematics or Engineering-related disciplines. The ACT math sub-score serves as the primary tool for mathematics placement. Students with identified deficiencies in mathematics requirements have the opportunity to remediate these during their freshman year or during the summer immediately preceding their first year.

Because engineering includes many specializations, students should carefully examine the coursework at their intended transfer institution to ensure proper academic planning. While the degree plans provide a foundation for transfer, students are responsible for confirming that all courses meet the specific requirements of their intended transfer institution.
