Instrumental Music

At Northwest, you'll find a wide array of exciting instrumental music ensembles to join, including the spirited Ranger Marching Band, the dynamic Northwest Concert and Jazz Ensembles, and a variety of chamber groups. Whether you're playing in a large ensemble, jamming with fellow jazz musicians, or refining your skills in a smaller setting, there’s a place for you to make music, express yourself, and develop your craft. You’ll get to perform a diverse range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, while building connections with fellow musicians who share your passion.

Located in the brand new Heindl Center for the Performing Arts, the program boasts facilities that include three large rehearsal halls, several spaces for small ensembles, fourteen individual practice rooms, and a state-of-the-art recording studio all adjacent to a dedicated practice field for marching band. The crown jewel of our facilities is the 1200 seat auditorium where you will perform concerts for friends and family as a member of our program. These resources highlight the college’s commitment to arts education and its mission to empower students through world-class opportunities in the performing arts.
