Biography

Kayla Manzolillo serves as the Theatre Instructor and Technical Director at Northwest Mississippi Community College. With over 15 years of experience in educational and professional theatre, she has worked extensively as a technician, director, and designer.

Originally from Ethelsville, AL, Ms. Manzolillo discovered her passion for theatre at the age of 15 while participating in productions at her local YMCA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mississippi University for Women and a Master of Arts in Theatre from Regent University.

Before joining NWCC, she served as Technical Director and Theatre Instructor at The University of North Alabama (UNA). Her extensive theatre credits include a range of roles in directing, set design, and costume design. Some of her notable projects include:

Production Assistant: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (New Stage Theatre)

Director: The Glass Menagerie (Tennessee Williams Festival), Eurydice (UNA), Macbeth (UNA), Boeing Boeing (NWCC)

Set Design: The Mountaintop (UNA), Little Shop of Horrors (UNA), Hairspray (UNA), The Turn of the Screw (UNA), A Doll’s House (NWCC)

Costume Design: Swing (NWCC)

At NWCC, Ms. Manzolillo is dedicated to mentoring students in all aspects of theatre production, fostering creativity, and preparing them for future success in the performing arts.
