Biography

Jeff Triplett is the Director of the Entertainment Industry Studies program at Northwest Mississippi Community College, a role he has held since its launch in 2014. He is an AVID Certified Pro Tools Instructor and has played a key role in establishing Northwest as the only community college in Mississippi recognized as an AVID Learning Partner, reflecting the program’s commitment to excellence in audio production and industry standards.

Mr. Triplett holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Music Education from Delta State University. His professional background includes product testing and development in the audio industry, where he refined his technical expertise. At Northwest, he has also served as low brass and guitar faculty and Assistant Director of Bands. In addition to his teaching roles, he has contributed in administrative capacities, further supporting the college’s mission of preparing students for success in the music and entertainment industry.
