Northwest offers the prerequisites you need to prepare for an exciting four-year degree at any of Mississippi’s colleges or universities. We also offer 30 Career and Technical programs designed to teach students the practical skills needed for a wide variety of jobs in the workforce.

Our Academic Pathways have articulation agreements with all four-year public universities in Mississippi. Students who graduate with an Associate of Arts can expect ALL of their classes to transfer in state.

Looking for a fast-track to rewarding career? With an Associate of Applied Science in any of our two-year Technical programs, you will learn the specialized skill set you need for a career in today’s highly-trained workforce. Looking for an even faster path to gainful employment? Our Career Certificate programs can be completed in as little as nine months.

The Office of Early College Programs was established to facilitate and expand the college’s partnerships with district high schools in educating secondary students at the college level. The office oversees two programs — Dual Enrollment and Scholastic Institute.

State Licensing
Career Tech courses and the RN Nursing may have state licensing requirements.
Note: A license in Mississippi may also be valid in another state.
