Northwest Mississippi Community College students, alumni, and faculty were recognized at the Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (MOADN) Convention on April 8 and 9 in Tupelo for their work and scholarship.

Northwest Mississippi Community College's new music label, Ranger Records, released its inaugural record, which features Southern artists, faculty and staff who are musicians, and student work. A concert was held on April 9 to showcase all the music that is featured on the album.

This April, Northwest Mississippi Community College joins colleges nationwide in celebrating Community College Month (#CCMonth), highlighting the essential role community and technical colleges play in powering America's workforce and expanding economic opportunity. #CCMonth is an annual grassroots campaign to bring attention to the value and importance of community colleges led by the Association of Community College Trustees.

Northwest Mississippi Community College students and faculty participated in the annual awards hosted by the Mississippi Community College Creative Writers' Association (MCCCWA) 46th Annual Workshop and Awards luncheon on April 10, at Northwest's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts.
