Northwest Mississippi Community College’s School of Health Sciences hosted its annual Nursing/Health Care Student Career Day on Monday, September 12, at the Haraway Center on the Senatobia Campus.
More than 400 students across 10 different health science programs attended the event, which allowed students the opportunity to explore advancing their educations, prospective employment with health care facilities and agencies in the area, and provided them with invaluable information regarding advanced degree programs and available scholarships.
Fourteen schools, representing Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas, and 34 health care organizations attended the event.
“We are so very proud of our School of Health Sciences students, and are blessed daily to be a part of their journey,” said Monica Williams, event coordinator and Nursing Skills Lab coordinator for the Associate Degree Nursing program. “We were honored to be able to provide them the opportunity to make connections with advanced degree programs and a variety of health care agencies and facilities, and we look forward to seeing all of the great things they will continue to accomplish and the numerous lives they will continue to touch after leaving Northwest!”
