Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts brings Motown to Senatobia on Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. with the Four Tops. They are known for their hits like "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)" and "Baby I Need Your Loving."
With many other timeless hits, the Four Tops help define a decade of music. Vocals led by Levi Stubbs, with harmonies of Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson and Lawrence Payton, were signed in the 1960s by Berry Gordy Jr.
Since their breakout hit "Baby I Need Your Loving" they have been busy performing, making hits, and earning an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, earned the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and have been ranked #79 on Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Their success has carried them for decades and to this day are still performing.
