Griffith announced as marketing, communications head

Northwest Mississippi Community College is pleased to announce that Jennifer Griffith has joined the college to serve as its director of Marketing and Strategic Communications.

“I am very excited to have Mrs. Griffith on the team,” said Dr. Andrew Dale, associate vice president of Community Relations. “She brings a wealth of experience to the marketing and communications team that will help extend the reach of the college’s message to the communities we serve. Her knowledge in customer service and understanding of storytelling will help the college connect in new ways with students, alumni and northwest Mississippi.”

With almost a decade of marketing experience, Griffith has spent the bulk of her career serving in marketing roles in the adult beverage industry. She comes to Northwest from Tennessee Crown Distributing Company, where she served as a trade marketing assistant for more than four years.

“I’m thrilled to be here at Northwest, and I’m looking forward to helping our brand continue to flourish in and around our communities,” she said.

Griffith holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a master’s degree in strategic communications from Liberty University.

In her free time, Griffith has served in various capacities with the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, and recently became an area advisor for collegiate panhellenic with the National Panhellenic Conference. She also assists in marketing efforts for her husband Ben Griffith’s business Griffith Roasting Company. The couple and their son Jameson live in Southaven.
