Northwest Theatre presents 'She Loves Me'

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Department of Fine Arts is proud to announce its upcoming debut of “She Loves Me,” appearing on the Northwest Fine Arts stage Oct. 27-31.

Performance times for the show are Wednesday, Oct. 27, Thursday, Oct. 28, Friday, Oct. 29, and Saturday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. Admission is free for students who show their Northwest ID and $5 for general admission.

The romantic comedy is based on the play “Perfumery,” which has served as the source material for several movies, including “You’ve Got Mail.” The upcoming theatre production is set in Europe in the 1930s, and revolves around a perfume shop.

The play is directed by Sadie Shannon, Fine Arts instructor. The 16-member cast is comprised mostly of freshmen.

Cast members are Mia Parker of Grenada as Amalia Balash; Macy Gallimore of Southaven as Ilona Ritter; Joey Blythe of Coldwater as Georg Nowack; Cody Morris of Grenada as Steven Kodaly; Nathan Dowling of Calhoun City as Arpad Laszlo; Skott Russell of Walls as Ladislay Sipos; Matthew Dieckhaus of Olive Branch as Mr. Maraczek.

The show’s ensemble is comprised of Meghan Harries of Oxford; Davis Jackson of Southaven; Daniel Davis of Hernando; Sam Jones of Coldwater; Caanon Dulin of Coldwater; Savannah Flores of Brandon; Abby Frances Zarback of Hernando; Sophia Carpenter of Olive Branch; and Callie May of Hernando.
