Schedule a time to chat with someone online or on the phone. This will work like our typical online appointments.
Email a consultant your draft and receive feedback within 24 hours. You do this on the “submit draft for email response” schedule. Choose an available slot (shown in white) and upload your draft.

When should I go to the Writing Center?
You have been assigned a new project in class and you’re three Writing Center consultants hold a Scrabble board with tiles that spell out Northwest Writing Center wondering, “How do I get started on this thing?” Or if you’ve written a draft and now you’re asking yourself, “Have I done what the assignment asks?” or “Are there parts that are unclear? Have I made any mistakes?” A consultant will help you answer all of those questions and many others.
What should I expect when I go to the Writing Center?
There are no grades, no homework, and no grammar drills at the Writing Centers. You will work with other Northwest students who have been trained to help you. They will assist you with any writing you’re doing, no matter where you’re at in the assignment. Watch this video if you’re curious what a session will be like.
