Northwest Mississippi Community College officials have announced the promotion of Assistant Registrar Angela Dortch to district director of Admissions/Registrar.
“I am truly thankful and excited about my new position,” Dortch said. “This will be a new challenge, but I believe in myself, and know that I’m up for it.”
Dortch has been a Northwest employee since 2015, first serving as a Financial Aid counselor before being hired as an Admissions/Registrar coordinator. She became the college’s assistant registrar in January.
“This is an exciting opportunity for her,” said Dr. Tonyalle Rush, associate vice president for Student Services and Enrollment Management. “I am extremely proud of her, and I’m confident in her abilities. She brings 15 years of customer service and supervisory experience. She will bring a lot of hard work and dedication to the role.”
Dortch earned an Associate of Arts in business/accounting from Northwest, a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Lemoyne Owen College and a Master of Business Administration in general business from Delta State University.
