Nursing Department receives gift from Shoot for the Heart fundraiser

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Department of Nursing received a check for $30,000 from the Shoot for the Heart fundraiser held in April. On hand for the check presentation were (l-r) James Williams, associate degree nursing student from Oxford; Dr. Michael Heindl, Northwest President; Judy and Keith Wilson, founders of Shoot for the Heart; Dr. Denise Bynum, director of Nursing Instruction; Tom Pittman, president of The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi; and Samantha Raburn-Robertson, associate degree nursing student from Senatobia.  The money will be used for nursing scholarships and to purchase and maintain nursing laboratory and simulation equipment.  Photo by KayLeigh Mitchell
