Makerspace - 3D Printing and more!

MakerBot Replicator Mini 3D Printer with a 3D printed gnome on the build plate

The Senatobia campus library on the 2nd floor of the Tunica Building has a makerspace for use by Northwest students, staff, and faculty. There is no cost for using the makerspace. Supplies and time in the makerspace may be limited so that everyone has a chance to use it.

What is a makerspace? It is a place where you can go to learn, explore, and make new things! We currently have a sewing machine, 3D Printers, 3D Pens, a button maker, a Silhoutte machine, and more!

To use any equipment in the makerspace like the 3D Printers, you must take a one-time, up to 45 minute training session with Maya Berry, Digital Librarian, on that particular piece of equipment. You may need to take multiple sessions to be trained on everything in the makerspace. After taking a training session, you will be able to make appointments to use this equipment independently. You may schedule this training session at this link below. You may also reserve time for a makerspace tour or a consultation session with Ms. Berry at this link below, too.

If you do not see a training session time that works for you or you have any questions about using the makerspace at the Senatobia campus library, please contact Ms. Berry at mberry@northwestms.edu, call 662-560-4204, or text-a-librarian at 662-612-0083.

If you have already been trained on the equipment that you want to use, contact Maya Berry at mberry@northwestms.edu or call 662-560-4204 to arrange a time to reserve the makerspace for your use. You may also use our text-a-librarian service at 662-612-0083 to contact Ms. Berry.
