Special Funding Assistance Application
This application is for students who need extra assistance while at Northwest. To qualify, a student must exhaust all funding options before the committee will consider approving the request. Financial assistance is at the discretion of the committee based on the application submitted and available funds.

Athletic Scholarship Application
Grant-in-aid scholarships in football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and soccer are awarded in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Mississippi Community/Junior College Association. Scholarships are awarded by the respective coaches of each sport based on the talent of the athlete and the needs of the program. These scholarships may be used to defray the costs of tuition, room, and/or board only.
Financial assistance is awarded through recruitment and at the discretion of the coaching staff of each sport based on individual talents exhibited through open tryouts. Tryouts are held in each sport prior to each season.

Band and Music
Band scholarships are available for members of the Ranger Marching Band and Concert Bands. Any NWCC student or incoming freshman may audition to be a part of the program. Students should be prepared to perform 2 scales or rudiments of their choice, chromatic scale and a short etude or solo piece about 32 measures in length. Choral
The Northwest Singers
Is a choral ensemble which is open to anyone who wishes to participate in a large performance group. All members must be registered for academic credit, though it is not mandatory to be classified as full-time, except for those students on scholarship. Membership is determined by audition and is entirely at the discretion of the Director of Choral Activities.
Additional choral ensembles are formed from participants in the Northwest Singers. Members for these ensembles are chosen by highly competitive audition. These ensembles include:
Northwest Chamber Choir
The Northwest Chamber Choir is an elite group devoted to performing traditional choral literature. Performances are scheduled for campus activities as well as community functions.
Northwest Entertainers
The Entertainers is a show choir which performs a contemporary style of music at a wide array of events for the college and the community.
