Northwest Mississippi Community College is committed to building relationships through engagement with businesses, industries, and organizations in all the communities we serve. Whether you are planning an educational seminar, corporate banquet, or community gathering, the college has a number of facilities to offer assemblies of all sizes. Our staff offers complete event set up and custodial services. Catering amenities are available upon request.

Reservation Process for Northwest Departments/ Groups/ Clubs: 

  • A Northwest organization representative may request facility rentals by submitting the appropriate Facility Request Form to the Facilities Use Coordinator at pking@northwestms.edu.
  • Reservations for all student organization events shall be made by the Student Organization Faculty Representative. Approval for all student organization sponsored events by the Dean of Students, Dr. TJ Walker, is required prior to submitting the facility reservation form.
  • Facility fees  as approved by the Board of Trustees are required for all night and weekend reservations, regardless of non-profit status, including Northwest organizations, unless a NWCC representative for the NWCC organization hosts, attends, and assumes responsibility for the event. If service staff are necessary for the event, fees are required.  All facilities are closed for reservation on Sundays.
  • Once the facility reservation process is complete, the Facilities Use Coordinator will enter the scheduled event to the Main Calendar.

Reservation Process for visitors to Northwest: 

  • Each entity/organization may request facility rentals by submitting the appropriate Facility Request Form to the Facilities Use Coordinator at pking@northwestms.edu. Approval by the college’s Executive Council may be required.
  • Facility fees  as approved by the Board of Trustees are required of all non-Northwest entities during normal Monday – Friday business hours, unless they are 501c3 non-profit exempt status (educational group, governmental agency, or non-profit civic group). Night and weekend fees are required of ALL reservations, regardless of non-profit status unless outlined in the Fee Exemption section. The Facilities Use Coordinator will invoice the renter for required facilities use fees. Payment is due prior to the event date
  • Visiting organizations reserving the use of NWCC facilities must provide a certificate of liability insurance, listing NWCC as additional insured. See the Insurance Coverage and Liability section in the Facility Reservation Form for each facility below.

Haraway Center

David M. Haraway Center opened in 2005 and is named in honor of Dr. David M. Haraway, the seventh President of Northwest. This 42,000-square-foot facility houses a student cafeteria that serves all Northwest students as well as the catering needs of the conference center. The Center is home to the Board of Trustees suite, office of Facilities Use Coordinator and meeting and banquet rooms available for college and community use.

Spaces available for reservation include:

Banquet Room 102A: 30’ x 55’ space with flexible tables and chairs.  Full AV capabilities are provided with a podium, projection screen, projector, and computer.  A microphone and sound system is also available.

Banquet Room 102B: 60’ x 60’ space with flexible tables and chairs and an optional elevated stage.  Full AV capabilities are provided with a podium projection screen, projector, and computer. A microphone and sound system is also available.

Banquet Rooms 102A and B may be reserved together as one space.

Banquet Room 104: 33’ x 50’ space with flexible tables and chairs.  Full AV capabilities are provided with a podium, projection screen, projector, and computer.  A microphone and sound system is also available.

McLendon Center

McLendon Center, named for former President Reese D. McLendon (1953-1974), is home to the Student Union and Physical Education facilities. This facility is the hub of student and community activities, providing conference and meeting rooms, a fitness center, two practice gymnasiums, exercise studios, and the college computer Help Desk. Offices for Campus Police, SSS TRIO Academic Program-TAP, Math Lab, Writing Center, Intramurals, Telecommunications and Network Support are located in the Union. The Commons, houses the campus Post Office and Ranger Bookstore.

Spaces available for reservation include:

Computer Classroom 202: computer desks for 31 students and full smart classroom capabilities.

Meeting Room A: 20’ x 42’ space with flexible tables and chairs.  Projection screen is provided, but other amenities will need to be provided separately.

Meeting Room B: 20’ x 20’ space with flexible tables and chairs.  Projection screen is provided, but other amenities will need to be provided separately.

North Practice Gym, traditional basketball gymnasium with wood floor.

South Practice Gym, rubber floored practice area with four basketball goals and optional volleyball.  This space is available for athletic/ activity practices only.

Fine Arts Auditorium

The Fine Arts Auditorium, originally built in 1957, was extensively renovated in 2002. The facility includes an auditorium with theater style seating for 400 attendees, including balcony seating above.  The atrium lobby offers views of the main campus from the balcony, providing a space for small performances.

Spaces available for reservation include:

Auditorium and Lobby: A traditional theater style space with seating for 400.  A theatrical stage with full lighting and sound capabilities is available including a podium, microphone and sound system, and optional project screen.  Wheelchair accessibility is available throughout the building and onto the stage.

Green Rooms:  Selected classrooms in the Fine Arts Building adjacent to the Auditorium are available as necessary for certain performances.  Contact the Facilities Use Coordinator for additional information.

Howard Coliseum

Howard Coliseum, is named in honor of Mrs. Willie Abbay Howard, former member of the College Board of Trustees. This 2400 seat multipurpose facility is the home of the Ranger and Lady Ranger basketball teams. The Coliseum also houses athletic department offices, Sports Hall of Fame room, dressing rooms, training and equipment rooms.

Spaces available for reservation include:

Hall of Fame Room: 34’ x 46’ space with flexible tables and chairs.  Presentation capabilities are not available in this location.

Coliseum Lobby: Open space with access to restrooms is available for small registration type events during off season months.

Coliseum:  2400 seat sports arena is available for sporting events and graduations only. Availability is limited due to college athletics.

The Ranger Outdoor Complex

Ranger Outdoor Complex (the ROC), includes eight tennis courts, four basketball courts, two volleyball courts and public restroom facilities. All courts are provided with exterior lighting for play after dark. All spaces are available for reservation.

Ranger Farm Arena

Northwest Farm Arena, located on Highway 4 west of Senatobia, this 43,000-square-foot open air arena is used for college and community activities including livestock competitions, agriculture expositions, and rodeo entertainment. The facility is home to the Ranger Rodeo Team and the Ranger Bluegrass Festival.  This facility as well as the surrounding grounds are available for reservation.

Northwest Classroom space is available in various buildings on campus. The buildings listed above are the primary source for available reservations space on the main campus.  However, if the need arises for dedicated classroom space the request can be made to the Facility Use Coordinator by the form below.
