Registration

New Student: (Never Attended)

1. Apply Online at www.northwestms.edu/apply 

2. After completing this process, please frequently check the email you indicated on your application. 

3. You will receive an email with your student id and instructions to access your MyNWCC as well as your acceptance to Northwest. 

4. Submit ACT scores (students under 21), final high school transcript, and college transcripts (with final grades as NWCC does not accept in-progress transcripts). 

5. Log in to your myNWCC for your “real-time” admission status. 

6. Once all required documents are received, you are admitted and ready to register for classes. Please check your status online before calling the Admissions office. 

Residency

If residency is required, please be prepared to submit the following:

1. Complete the Affidavit and electronically sign the residency form here.

2. Proof of residency items: take a close-up picture of your driver’s license, email the most recent month’s utility/electric/gas bill, or voter registration card or MS vehicle registration receipt. 

3. Please email all residency items to admissions@northwestms.edu. Please indicate in the subject line: SPRING2026-Name-Residency. 

4. If you have questions regarding residency, please call (662) 562-3219.

If you are receiving an error message on the student application, please email admissions@northwestms.edu.

New Student (Never Attended Northwest)

1. If you will be attending Summer 2026, complete a 2025-2026 FAFSA with 2023 taxes.  If you are attending Fall 2026, complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA with 2024 taxes. Please go to www.studentaid.gov.

2. For faster processing, please select the IRS data tool to verify information.
3. Enter Northwest school code (002427) on your FAFSA. Please be sure to electronically sign and your parents electronically sign (if required).
4. It will take 3-5 business days before Northwest will receive your FAFSA.
5. If additional information is required, please submit it ASAP.
6. Please check your myNWCC for status updates.

Returning Students:

Please make sure you complete your 2026-2027 FAFSA and 2026-2027 FAFSA verification.

Financial Aid: If you have financial aid for Summer 2026, you will be able to use your aid to complete your registration beginning on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Pay Online: If you are paying out of pocket, you can finalize your registration at any time by using the “complete registration/pay” option in your myNWCC. Click this page for instructions on how to complete online. 

Payments can be made via myNWCC. Financial Aid will be available to complete Summer registration starting Monday, May 18, 2026. Need help? Click here for a video on how to complete registration.
