How do I apply to Northwest?
To apply for admissions please go to www.northwestms.edu/admissions/apply-online and follow the instructions to apply.
Do I need to reapply?
If you had a break in a semester you will need to reapply online at www.northwestms.edu/apply
Have I been accepted?
Once Admissions receives your application and required documents, you will be accepted. You will receive an Acceptance Letter via e-mail. You may also log into your myNWCC account to check your admission status.
Have you received my transcripts?
Please log into your myNWCC account to see if your transcripts have been received. This is located under the student records tab and select admission requirements.
How do I prove residency?

Students and Parents must have a driver’s license dated at least 7 days prior to the date of registration. Parents must provide an additional proof of residency item.
How long does it take to get accepted?
Once we receive all required documents, you will be accepted.
When will I get my acceptance letter?
You will receive your acceptance letter once we have received all the required documents. Acceptance letters are emailed to the email address submitted on your application.

How do I register?
Click here to see our registration process.
How do I log into myNWCC?
Click here to login to your myNWCC account. Your username is your 6-digit Student ID number. Your temporary password is your 6-digit date of birth (mmddyy). If you have attended previously, your password will still be the same.
What classes are being offered online?
To view the courses available, click on the Course Schedule tab in myNWCC. For the Term, choose SP2021in the dropdown menu
How do I log into canvas?
Go to www.northwestms.edu. >> Click on Students, >> then Canvas. Your username and password will be the same as your myNWCC credentials.
Who is my advisor?
Log into your myNWCC account. Click on Student Records and then Degree Plan. Your advisor will be listed in the second rectangle under High School name.
When will my classes show up in canvas?
Your classes will be published in Canvas no later than the day classes begin. If you register late, classes will show up within 24 hours of registration.
What are the requirements to get into College Algebra/English Composition, etc.?
These are generally based on a student’s ACT score. However, there is placement testing available if the student wishes to challenge their placement or has not taken the ACT.
How do I sign up for placement testing?
Accuplacer is required for admission purposes for students with no ACT scores that are 21 years or older. Students that wish to challenge their ACT placement may schedule an Accuplacer test with the respective Student Counseling and Disability Services testing coordinator.
