Northwest has given me an exceptional opportunity for growth. I came from a smaller high school and having the opportunities that are provided to students at Northwest has changed my education in a significant way. Northwest Mississippi Community College's Theatre Department presents "The Diviners" by Jim Leonard Jr. "The Diviners" will run two weekends in a row, starting in November with 7 p.m. showings on Nov. 7, 8, 14, and 15, and 2 p.m. showings on Nov. 9 and 16, and will be held in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Senatobia campus. This play follows a disturbed young man and his friendship with a disenchanted preacher in southern Indiana in the peak of the early 1930s.

Senatobia, MS (10/28/2025) — Northwest Mississippi Community College Libraries accepted two public relations awards at the Mississippi Library Association Conference Oct. 16-17 in Hattiesburg.
Today, the Aspen Institute named Northwest Mississippi Community College as one of the 200 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s premier recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges. This is the ninth cycle of the Aspen Prize.

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation has officially announced the honorees for the Northwest Soiree. The event will be April 11, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts in Senatobia, MS. This is the fourth annual Soiree, which benefits the students of Northwest Mississippi Community College.
