Northwest has given me an exceptional opportunity for growth. I came from a smaller high school and having the opportunities that are provided to students at Northwest has changed my education in a significant way. Northwest Mississippi Community College is proud to announce the William Winter Scholars for 2025 are sophomore general college student, Daniel Alderman of Hernando, and history instructor, Carla Townsend, who works primarily at the DeSoto campus in Southaven.
Seventeen Northwest Mississippi Community College students have been inducted into the 2024-25 Hall of Fame, the highest honor a student can achieve at the college.

Four Northwest Mississippi Community College students won Allie Awards for their outstanding theatre work during the 22nd Annual Allie Awards Ceremony held on Friday, Feb. 7.

Northwest Mississippi Community College's Foundation is gearing up for just a little over a month away when Chapel Hart takes the Heindl Center stage as their headlining entertainment for the 2025 Northwest Soiree Masquerade Among the Stars. The Soiree is set to take place on March 29 at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts at 6:00 p.m.

Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts is welcoming Beach Boys to their stage Saturday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m.
The Beach Boys have entertained and excited audiences for more than six decades. A hallmark of American Rock & Roll, they trailblazed with their surf-rock and relatable tunes such as "Wouldn't it Be Nice" and "Surfin' U.S.A."
