Northwest has given me an exceptional opportunity for growth. I came from a smaller high school and having the opportunities that are provided to students at Northwest has changed my education in a significant way. I have access to technology that I didn’t have before. I have support from faculty and staff and have been able to grow personally, professionally and educationally in the past year. Northwest Mississippi Community College students, alumni, and faculty were recognized at the Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (MOADN) Convention on April 8 and 9 in Tupelo for their work and scholarship.

Northwest Mississippi Community College's new music label, Ranger Records, released its inaugural record, which features Southern artists, faculty and staff who are musicians, and student work. A concert was held on April 9 to showcase all the music that is featured on the album.

This April, Northwest Mississippi Community College joins colleges nationwide in celebrating Community College Month (#CCMonth), highlighting the essential role community and technical colleges play in powering America's workforce and expanding economic opportunity. #CCMonth is an annual grassroots campaign to bring attention to the value and importance of community colleges led by the Association of Community College Trustees.
