Before I came to Northwest I was pretty shy and very intimidated to meet new people and get involved, but this place has helped me grow as a leader and pulled confidence out of me that I never knew I had.

“I read somewhere that if you smile at least once a day, it can change your overall mood and vibe. Between school and cheerleading obligations things can get pretty hectic, but I just try my best to stay focused and smile through everything. The scholarships are very helpful, and every little bit has helped our family. I’m not sure if my daughter and I would both be able to be in the program at the same time had it not been for the Foundation scholarships we received.

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation has officially announced the date for the Northwest Soiree. The event will be held March 29, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts. This is the third annual Soiree, which benefits the students of Northwest Mississippi Community College. Last year the Soiree raised $130,362 for students.

Northwest Mississippi Community College has officially welcomed Dr. Del Phillips, III, to its Board of Trustees as a representative for Panola County. He currently serves as superintendent for the South Panola School District, a position he has held since July 1, 2023.

Northwest Mississippi Community College announces a new scholarship endowment established by Northcentral Electric Cooperative called the James E. "Jimmy" Woods Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is in honor of Jimmy Woods of Byhalia who served his community, state, and country.
