Northwest has given me an exceptional opportunity for growth. I came from a smaller high school and having the opportunities that are provided to students at Northwest has changed my education in a significant way. Tickets go on sale at noon on January 14 for the Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation's premier fundraising event the Northwest Soiree: A Garden Gala presented by Mini Systems. This event is set to take place at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts on April 18, 2026.

Northwest Mississippi Community College's Video Coordinator and Digital Media Specialist, Matthew Mixson of Auburn, Ala., was announced as a 2025 College Sports Communicators 30 Under 30. The honor recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative and digital spaces.
