Northwest exhibition to feature artists’ inspiration
The upcoming Northwest Mississippi Community College exhibition “Fortunes Drawn” will feature works from regional artists based on inspiration they received from fortunes drawn from fortune cookies or other bits of wisdom. The exhibition will run Feb. 2-27 at the Northwest Art Gallery on the Senatobia campus. An opening reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2. Full story

A new record has been set in spring enrollment at Northwest Mississippi Community College. Spring Semester 2008 enrollment reached an all-time high with 6,957 students at all campus locations— an overall increase of 571 students. Full story

Northwest Heating and Air Conditioning program receives training equipment
Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Heating and Air Conditioning Technology program received $10,200 worth of new equipment to aid in training for students last month, according to Whit Perry, lead instructor of the program.
Bard Manufacturing Company of Bryan, Ohio donated the new equipment to the college in December, Perry said. “They stated they wanted to help certified institutions that have acquired the PAHRA accreditation,” he said. Full story
