Faculty and staff honored at Back-to-School faculty meeting

All three Northwest campuses were represented at the event in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Johnson has 31 years of experience as a CPA and 12 years of classroom experience. She strives to enhance her classes with innovative ideas, such as the use of computer labs to incorporate modern spreadsheets and other software in a discipline that previously had relied only on paper bookkeeping. “Her impact is evident by the enrollment in her classes and by the numerous students who return to her office after they have transferred to universities,” said Sybil Canon, director of the Northwest Foundation. Congregating Johnson are Canon, second from left, and Sandy Grisham of Oxford, retired Social Science instructor, for whom the award is named.
