Auditions for Northwest's fall production scheduled There are parts available for three females and three males, according to Scott. “I'm looking for people between the ages of 18 and 65. No preparation is required for the audition. Those auditioning will be asked to read cold from the script,” Scott said. He added that members of the community are invited to audition. “Exit the King” is an absurdist comedy by Eugene Ionesco that premiered in 1962. The play deals with the character of King Berenger who is an aging tyrant. The play’s themes of dealing with death and accepting one’s life are universal, according to Scott. “Exit the King” just recently closed on Broadway. Film and stage actor Geoffrey Rush won a 2009 Tony Award for his portrayal of King Berenger. Performance dates for the play are Thurs. - Sat., Oct. 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sun., Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Senatobia campus.
