NMEC endowment reaches $30,000

Dr. Robert Smith of Hernando (left), president of the Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation Board of Directors,  and Northwest President, Dr. Gary Lee Spears (right), announce a $30,000 endowment received from the North Mississippi Education Consortium, represented by Don Clanton, also a member of the Foundation Board. The Consortium has contributed $10,000 each year over a three-year period to the endowment, which provides scholarships for Mississippi students who are preparing to be teachers.
