Northwest ACT Preparation Workshop offered Aug. 31-Sept. 1

Northwest Mississippi Community College is offering an ACT Preparation Workshop on Monday, Aug. 31 and Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 6-9 p.m. Deadline to register for the class is Friday, Aug. 28 by noon.

This course provides an overview of the ACT format, followed by a review of verbal and mathematics fundamentals for solving typical test questions. Also to be discussed are management and test-taking strategies. Previous students of this course have raised their scores significantly. Students will need to bring a calculator, notebook and pen or pencil to the workshop.

The course will be taught by Marcus Perkins and Beth Bunce. It will be held in the new Physical Science Addition, Room 105 on the Senatobia campus. The cost of the course is $105 with the book included.

The class will also be offered on Oct. 5 and 6, and Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
