Northwest students receive schiolarships

Students in Northwest Mississippi Community College's Student Support  Services (SSS) program received a cash scholarship for showing overall excellence and involvement in the program this year. These students maintained a 2.0 GPA and attended cultural outings and workshops and participated in the tutoring program offered to them.

The SSS program is a federally-funded program that provides free   tutoring in all subjects; career, academic and personal counseling; peer counseling; assistance in obtaining financial aid and transferring to a four-year institution;  cultural activities and workshops on current topics.
