Final Reading Roundtable session scheduled
By LaJuan Tallo | 4/6/09

This year’s final meeting of Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Reading Roundtable will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 2 p.m. in the R.C. Pugh Library on the Senatobia campus. Northwest Psychology Instructor Mary Lynn McLaughlin will present “A Whole New Mind” by Daniel Pink.

McLaughlin will give some information about the psychology of right and left brain applications. This book’s author argues that in order to succeed in modern life, one must become more creative, or be able to use the right brain’s emotion and creativity in addition to the left brain’s logic.

The purpose of the program is to provide a forum for senior adults to read and discuss a variety of books during the course of every semester. Discussions are led by Northwest faculty, and meetings are held on the third or fourth Tuesday of each month. Sycamore Bank has donated the funds for the program.

Reading Roundtable sessions will begin again in the fall semester.
