Les Fauves Art Sale set May 1

Northwest Mississippi Community College’s student art club, Les Fauves, will hold its annual Spring sale on Friday, May 1 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northwest Art Gallery on the Senatobia campus.

“The Spring Les Fauves Art Sale is an excellent opportunity to begin collecting original art by both students and faculty at affordable prices. Pottery, paintings, drawings and photography will be available for purchase, “ said Lawyane House, Northwest art chair.

Les Fauves functions to promote art in the area. In addition to two sales per year, other projects include art exhibitions and campus beautification. Anyone who is taking at least one art course in the Art Department is eligible for membership in the club.

The Northwest Mississippi Community College Fine Arts Division offers classes in the fundamentals of Drawing; Painting; Ceramics; Art History; and Computer Graphics for individuals seeking opportunities for a career in the arts or for personal enrichment.
