The Northwest golf team put together its best performance of the spring by tying for second place in the NWCC/ NECC/ ICC Invitational March 31-April 1 at Kirkwood National in Holly Springs.

Northwest sophomore T. Robert Oakley finished second in the event. Oakley, of Senatobia, placed one shot behind medalist Jarrod Moulds of Meridian. Oakley shot a two-day score of 74-73-147.

Northwest tied with Holmes for second place with both squads turning in a 634. Meridian and Gulf Coast tied for first place with scores of 626.
