Northwest announces finalists in presidential search

GIS Presentation

Northwest Mississippi Community College Director of Workforce Planning and Development Joyce Brasell, along with three community partners, presented a workshop session at the second annual Gulf Coast Geospatial Conference Oct. 20-22 in Biloxi. (full story)

Fifteen academic and career-technical programs were evaluated during Northwest Mississippi Community College's annual Program Review Oct. 28. The purpose of the Program Review is to provide a system for continuous improvement in the college's programs of study. Each program is evaluated once every five years, and findings and recommendations are presented to the Curriculum Committee, then forwarded to the Academic Council and college president for review. Community participants in this year's Program Review include (l to r) Jimmy Carr of Batesville, retired Northwest Civil Technology instructor; Russell Paulk of Batesville, part-time Spanish instructor for workforce training; Ramona Beardain of Batesville, deputy director of Delta Health Ventures; David Windham of Olive Branch, JoAnna Johnson of Charleston, student representatives; and Valmadge Towner of Marks, Quitman County superintendent of education and Northwest Board of Trustees member.
