Basic Microsoft Word for Educators, which is worth 1.0 CEU, will be held June19-23, from 8-10:15 a.m. This class will help educators strengthen word processing skills.
Basic Microsoft Excel for Educators will be offered June14-16, from 8-11:30 a.m. The class is the first of a two-part spreadsheet course for educators, and will help participants learn to organize and analyze numeric data, and develop well-designed worksheets. Students should be proficient with the Windows operating system before enrolling in the class, which is worth 1.0 CEU.
Basic PowerPoint for Educators and other professional will be offered June 14-16, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The class is worth 1.0 CEU. Participants will learn how to combine text, graphics, and visual special effects on presentation slides. The class is designed for educators, business people and trainers.
Intermediate PowerPoint for Educators will meet June 19-23 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Students will learn more about working with graphics, how to add video and music to presentations, how to create voice recordings, animate slides, and create and insert charts. Participants will give their presentations at the last class.The class is worth 1.0 CEU.
Each class will be taught by Helen Williamson, adjunct computer instructor for Northwest. The fee for each class will be $60 if paid on or before the early registration deadline, which is one week prior to the class start date. No refunds will be given after this date. The fee will be $75 after the registration deadline. Early registration is recommended for all workshops, due to limited space available.
