Northwest Mississippi Community College Network Administrator Chuck Adams, left, and Network Technician Mike LaMar, right, recently brought back the Innovation award from the Mirage Networks' OASIS conference in Austin, Texas. The college was recognized by Mirage as the first customer to implement Mirage's deep scan module, allowing the college to immediately detect viruses and firewalls on outside computers used on the campus. The module has made users' abilities easier and more accessible. Northwest began using the Mirage system last spring. Colleges and businesses from 37 countries were invited to attend the event.
