The Jazz Band is under the baton of Howard Luttrell, assistant director of Bands at the college. "The program will include all types of jazz -- swing, big band, Latin, ballad and blues," said Luttrell, who is completing his first year as a faculty member on the Senatobia campus.

Members of the group include Gregory White and Levi Bump, saxophone, Olive Branch; Helen Payne, saxophone and Ryan Joslin, trumpet, both of Southaven; Stephen McNeill, guitar, Horn Lake; Jennifer Burkeen, trumpet, Hernando; Jasper Moss, keyboard, Nesbit;

While the Jazz Band is taking a break, visitors are invited to the opening reception for the Sophomore Art Exhibition in the college gallery. "Works come from classes including computer art class, design and advertising design."

Students showing off their works include Shawn Armstrong of Coffeeville, David Baronowski and Maggie Hendren of Batesville, Tommie Biles of Greenwood, John Paul Graham of Southaven, Rebekah Green of Sardis, Laura Beth Lott and Felicia Morgan of Senatobia, Elena Salazar of Southaven and Amber Tatum of Oxford.
