by LaJuan Tallo
7/23/2007
Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Division of Continuing Education is offering “Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People” on Monday, Aug. 27 from 6-9:30 p.m. The deadline to register for the class is Aug. 22.
The course will be taught by David Hayne and will be held in the Fine Arts Building, Room 110, on the Senatobia campus.
If you yearn to experience the joy of playing piano, but you don’t want years of weekly lessons, this short course is for you. In just one enjoyable evening you can learn enough secrets of the trade to make piano playing a part of your life. You’ll learn all the chords (that’s the secret) needed to play any pop song in any style, any key. This is an absolutely beginning class in chord piano techniques. If you can find Middle C and you know the meaning of “Every Good Boy Does Fine” you already know enough to enroll in this workshop.
The cost of the course is $45 plus the book and CD.
For more information, contact Patricia Lowder, coordinator of Continuing Education at 662-562-3349 or e-mail pwlowder@northwestms.edu.
