by LaJuan Tallo
7/31/2006

Many people have the desire to learn to play piano but don't want to take years of weekly lessons. For anyone who would love to learn some piano basics in a fun setting, Northwest Mississippi Community College's Continuing Education Division is offering "Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People" on Aug. 22 from 6-9:30 p.m. on the main campus in Senatobia.

This beginning course will teach all the chords needed to play any pop song in any style, and any key. It will teach enough "secrets of the trade" to make piano playing a part of its students' lives.

The class will be taught by David Haynes in the Fine Arts Building, Room 110. The cost of the class is $45, plus the cost of the book and CD. The deadline to register is August 17.

For more information, contact Patricia Lowder, coordinator of Continuing Education at 562-3349 or e-mail pwlowder@northwestms.edu.
