Northwest announces Board of Trustees officers

M. Clarence Sparks Jr. of Lake Cormorant has been elected chairman of Northwest Mississippi Community College's Board of Trustees for 2005.
Sparks succeeds Bill Dawson of Byhalia, who served 10 consecutive years as chairman. He will continue to represent Marshall County on the Board.
Other 2005 officers elected at the Board's January meeting were vice chairman Sam Allison of Sarah and secretary Gary Walker, superintendent of Tate County Schools. Allison has represented Tate County on the Board since 1978.
Newcomers to the 2004-05 Board are Dorothy K. Wilbourn, representing Panola County; Dr. Bobby Papasan, representing Tunica County; Diana Grist, representing Benton County; and Valmadge Towner, representing Quitman County.
Others on the 22-member Board are: Johnny Bland (Quitman County); Aaron Burney (Yalobusha County); John G. Burt (Calhoun County); Mike Foster (Lafayette County); Jerry Gentry (Tunica County); Beth Hardin (Calhoun County); David Hargett (Tallahatchie County); C.E. Henry (Lafayette County); William Hickey (Tallahatchie County); Jamie Howell (Panola County); Milton Kuykendall (DeSoto County); Mary Alice Moorman (Yalobusha County); Don Randolph (Marshall County); and Ronny Wilkerson (Benton County).
