The cast for the upcoming Northwest Mississippi Community College production of “Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” has been announced, according to Terry Scott, the show’s director.
The cast includes Alyssa McElfresh of Senatobia a Helsa; Mabry Nelson of Senatobia as Elsa; Megan Clayton of Holly Springs as Bernice; Chelsea Hadley of Byhalia as Nikki; and Heather Malone of Olive Branch as Marjorie. Others included are Major Davis of Charleston as Sgt. Kelly; Dustin Edwards of Hernando as Eddie; Josh Reeves of Walls as O’Reilly; and Drew Carlton of Olive Branch as Roger. Jamison White of Horn Lake appears as Ken De La Maze and “The Figure.”
In the “Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” the creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious "Stage Door Slasher") assemble for a backer's audition of their new show at the Westchester estate of a wealthy patroness. During the course of the play the "Slasher" is unmaskedbut not before the audience has been treated to a sidesplitting good time.
