Family Focus Series scheduled

A three-part Family Focus Series will be taught by Mary Lynn McLaughlin, licensed professional counselor, through Northwest Mississippi Community College's Division of Continuing Education beginning in February.
Session I-Divorce and Remarriage, will be held on Feb. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. Symptoms of divorce will be discussed in this seminar, which will be interactive and based on the needs of the group.
Session II-Children of Divorce/Blended Families is set for Feb. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. This session will address the problems that arise from divorce and the effects it has on children. This seminar will also be interactive, allowing participants to share issues and devise a plan of action for dealing with a new family.
Session III-Stress Management/Knowing Your Temperament is scheduled for Feb. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. This session will discuss signs and symptoms of stress and burnout and offer skills to cope with stress on a daily basis. Participants will evaluate their own temperaments and see their strengths and weaknesses.
All three workshops will be held in the Board Dining Room on the second floor of the McLendon Student Union on the Senatobia campus. The fee is $20 per session.
