The first session of Reading Roundtable, part of Northwest Mississippi Community College's Lifelong Learning program, is scheduled for Aug. 30 on the Senatobia campus.
"One Writer's Beginnings" by Eudora Welty will be the first book for discussion in this monthly program. Margaret Rogers, director of Learning Resources, will lead the discussion on Welty and her process of writing.
"This provides a starting point for the reading and discussion this group will do during the coming year," said Rogers. The theme for this year's program is "Around the World and Home Again."
Discussions are held the last Monday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Law Room of the R.C. Pugh Library. Although there is no charge for the program, participants are asked to register to ensure a space. Reservations may be made by calling Patricia Lowder, coordinator of Continuing Education, at (662) 562-3349. Funds for support of this program have been provided by Senatobia Bank and Cornerstone Bank.
