Dr. Gary Lee Spears (left), President of Northwest Mississippi Community College, visited with Bobby Dunlap of Batesville, president and chief operating officer of Dunlap and Kyle, the parent company of Gateway Tire and Service Centers, to express appreciation for the recent contribution of $25,000 to The Gateway Tire Endowment with the NWCC Foundation.

"This brings the total of the endowment to $55,000. An additional $50,000 has been donated, which was designated as matching funds for endowed scholarships," said Sybil Canon, Northwest director of Development.

"I believe in education, and Northwest is helping local kids, not only academically, but with training in technical programs," said Dunlap. "Gateway wants to be a part of that and help any way we can."

Dr. Spears commended Dunlap for his contribution. "Bobby Dunlap is known for his generosity throughout this state, even the nation, and we are honored to be among the causes that he supports. We will use these funds to provide scholarships to deserving students, and we are truly grateful."

Gateway Tire is one the largest nations's largest independent tire dealers.
