Spanish workshop set

A Spanish Workshop for Classroom Teachers will be offered by Northwest Mississippi Community College's Division of Continuing Education June 1-2 on the Senatobia campus.

This workshop is targeted for teachers in grades K-6 who want to integrate Spanish into their curriculum. "We will cover basic language skills including helpful phrases for teachers with English language learners in their classroom," said instructor Deana Pittman.

Also included will be hands-on activities that involve mathematics, social studies, art and reading. The classes will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Calhoun Building. The cost is $95. Participants completing the workshop will receive 1.2 CEUs (Continuing Education Units).
