Non-credit golf class set

A non-credit class, Golf for Beginners, will be offered through continuing education divisions at Northwest Mississippi Community College and the University of Mississippi at DeSoto Center beginning in April.

The class will be held April 12, 19, 26, May 3 and 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Cherokee Valley Golf Club in Olive Branch. Students will be instructed in the basics of golf including swing with irons and some woods, grip, stance and putting. The $75 fee includes range balls and five lessons.

Adam Payne will be the instructor. Students are required to bring their own clubs. Enrollment is limited to 10, so pre-registration is encouraged.
