COVID-19-Summer

FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK
April 21, 2020
Good Afternoon, Rangers,
After continuing to review the guidance from the CDC and the federal government, the guidance from the State of Mississippi, the decisions of community colleges and universities in the state, and out of continued measures of prudence and caution, Northwest Mississippi Community College will deliver the vast majority of its summer slate of academic courses in an online platform.  4-week Summer I and Summer II semester courses will be conducted online, as well as the 8-week traditional summer courses will continue to be delivered online.

Most of our Career & Technical programs will operate under a modified training methodology.  Some specified courses may be allowed to operate with appropriately distanced training methods.  Our workforce training programs will take place in modified formats throughout the summer as well.

More information will be provided later this week with regard to class offerings and ways in which you may continue to register for these classes.  Please visit our Coronavirus page at www.northwestms.edu/coronavirus for more information in the coming days.

Thank you for your hard work this semester, and we look forward to serving you more this summer.

Go Rangers!

Sincerely,

Michael
