Important Message for Students

FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

Good Afternoon, Northwest Family!
Northwest Mississippi Community College transitioned to a remote/modified learning environment due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic on March 23rd. Unfortunately, during this time our students were not able to return to campus. Our college leadership, faculty, and staff continue to support the needs of our students by supporting their personal success.

The college will proceed with issuing credit adjustments on housing and meal plans for Spring 2020 to all eligible students.  These adjustments will be based on a prorated amount from March 16th until May 8th as these dates were the initial date students were to return to campus from Spring Break and residence halls were to close after graduation.

Students that are eligible for refunds after these credit adjustments have been applied will receive a refund by check. If a student has an outstanding balance, the credit adjustment will be applied to the student’s balance first. Any student that was awarded housing and meal plan coverage from institutional scholarships will not receive a credit adjustment or refund.
