Writing Centers are prepared to continue meeting the needs of our students through our online services.

Though we will be offering online appointments only, we will offer access through these online sessions using two types of online formats:

Phone/chat live appointments (immediate feedback)

These types of online appointments are ideal for getting immediate feedback and answers to your questions. You and your consultant will be able to type messages, share drafts of your writing projects, and make changes in real time.

This type of appointment requires a consistent internet connection for the length of the appointment. Though possible to use a phone or mobile device, these chat appointments are best when conducted with a personal computer or laptop.

Email appointments (feedback within 24-hours)

These types of appointments are ideal for getting feedback and answers to questions from a writing consultant over a longer period of time. You submit your draft along with information/requirements for a writing assignment prior to the reserved appointment time. Within a 24-hour timeframe, you will receive an email notification that your feedback has been uploaded.

These appointments can be completed without a consistent internet connection. You can upload your paper from any Wi-Fi connection and return to our scheduler at a later time to download your written feedback.

Our new, fully online schedule will be available for appointment reservations by Monday, March 23, 2020.

If you have any questions, please visit our website for more information and step by step instructions for making appointments: making online appointments

The Math Lab will begin operating remotely.   Please go to www.northwestms.mywconline.net to schedule an appointment. If you need any further assistance with your math courses, please contact Jacob Lantrip at jlantrip@northwestms.edu.
