Workforce Development Announcement for Introduction to QGIS

 

Course Length:

2 days ( 16 hours ) – @ Batesville Enterprise Center – May 4-5, 2017

Overview:

QGIS is an “open source” geographic information system (GIS) software package, and available to users at no-cost.

Who Should Attend:

Individuals who are interested in learning about geographic information systems (GIS), and the QGIS software suite.

Goals:

Those completing this course will be able to:

  • What is GIS and how is it used.
  • Map projections and coordinate systems.
  • An overview of GIS data types and how to create GIS data-set.
  • Attribute and spatial data analysis technique.
  • Geo-processing of spatial data.
  • Designing maps for presentations.

Prerequisite:

None.
